Global Content Bazar

Venue: World Trade Center, Mumbai

○ The first international content market fair themed with film and television trade in India.

○ Targeting the South Asia region with a focus on the Indian market

GCB is the only international market for content business in the South Asian Subcontinent. Held annually in January in India, it is the first important event to expect in every new year. With a broad range of content to present including films, television programs, animations, news, sports, licensing, exterior scenes, through various platforms including cinemas, TV channels, IPTVs, OTTs, and mobile devices, BCG attracts multitudes of visitors in the content industry from across the world to gather for trade, research and networking purposes.

2017 Events:

China Pavilion

At the first Global Content Bazar (GCB) which held in India in 2017, the largest team of Chinese exhibitors attracted the most attention with their well set-up exhibitions, which shows the importance attached by China to media exchange between China and India and Chinese cultural companies’ strong desire to interact with their Indian counterparts. More importantly, it indicates the Indian market’s keen interest in Chinese contents. It is particularly noteworthy that the China Pavilion catalogues were delivered to all participating buyers as an official document.

In the talk with many potential partners and local customers, WingsMedia highly recommended a number of SMG programmes, including Go Fighting!, The Next, Golden Night, Maritime Silk Road, Taste of China, Bharal, and China’s Challenges. In addition to recommending excellent SMG programmes, WingsMedia has also promoted the creative ideas of “SMG Innovations”, in an effort to facilitate multi-dimensional global presence of Chinese culture.

“Feeling China” – Chinese Film and TV Programme Screening

“Feeling China” – Chinese Film and TV Programme Screening hosted at the China Pavilion attracted a capacity audience of over 100 Indian exhibitors and visitors, plus a group of standing audience. Highly impressed by the screened Chinese films and TV programmes, the audience erupted into applause after each promo video. In addition, the event was extensively covered by both Indian and Chinese media channels, including Doordarshan, Zee TV, Afternoon, Absolute India, China Radio International, Hindi.China.com and CRI News Radio, making it one of the most spectacular highlights of the GCB.
